Talk about Texas Summer heat! We went to the zoo for the Target
Zoofari days and it was HOT! I was extremely exhausted after our trip. Austin and Kayla had so much fun looking at all the animals. We saw two events up close: feeding the King Vultures and a trainer working with a chimpanzee. The kids loved the elephants and gorillas. They had a blast in the water so they were able too cool down.

This is a close up of the female gorilla. I bent down and we looked at each other eye to eye and I took this picture. She actually seemed really lonely and sad. It kind of depressed me to see the animal this way. Just look at her face...
