Kayla is 2!

Our little princess turned 2 on August 14th and had her party on the 15th. I can't believe she is already 2! We went with a minnie mouse theme this year. Kayla had a ton of fun with her brother and cousin KK. Most of all she enjoyed the balloons. Thanks to everyone who came!

Dallas Zoo

Talk about Texas Summer heat! We went to the zoo for the Target Zoofari days and it was HOT! I was extremely exhausted after our trip. Austin and Kayla had so much fun looking at all the animals. We saw two events up close: feeding the King Vultures and a trainer working with a chimpanzee. The kids loved the elephants and gorillas. They had a blast in the water so they were able too cool down.

"Patrick" the gorilla.

This is a female gorilla and she was really cool. Here she is looking at Austin.

This is a close up of the female gorilla. I bent down and we looked at each other eye to eye and I took this picture. She actually seemed really lonely and sad. It kind of depressed me to see the animal this way. Just look at her face...

CiRcUs

We took the kids to the circus for the first time. They loved it! Austin was laughing a bunch. It was cute to hear him. Kayla loved seeing all the horses and animals. We had great seats for the tickets being FREE. The kids got free tickets through summer reading at the library and I got two others through facebook.

I loved the elephants! They were too cute.

Look @ the excitement in their faces. Waiting for the show to start back up. Being goofy at intermission.
